Please note: Functionality described on this page requires Download Monitor version 4.3 or above.
The Test Gateway is a gateway included in Download Monitor core. This gateway is included so you can test your shop flow without having to set up a real payment gateway yet. All orders placed with the Test gateway will result in completed. The Test gateway adds a test (dummy) transaction to your order as well.
Enabling the Test gateway
You can enable the Test gateway in your Download Monitor settings. In the Payment Methods tab, you can enable the gateway by checking the box before Test. Enabling the gateway will allow you to select it as a gateway on your checkout screen.
Please note: Do NOT enable the Test gateway on your live website! This will allow customers to get access to your downloads without actually paying for the download.
